The Walkaways

Dave was upstairs taking a nap, so I decided to walk back down to the Del Ray Music Festival to see who was playing. Much to my delight, there was an Alt-country band called The Walkaways playing. A six-piece band, they played mostly original songs. They had great sound. Think: Jayhawks meet the Gear Daddies. They had a guy playing steel guitar, and another playing accordion. I liked them so much that I bought their CD on iTunes. Sort of a virtual souvenir. They ended with the obligatory Alt-country version of Folsum Prison Blues.
